Board-Certified Psychiatric &
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Monterey Bay Psychiatry was founded on a simple belief: that people struggling with their mental health deserve more than a 15-minute appointment and a prescription. They deserve a provider who actually listens, has the time to understand the full picture, and brings genuine expertise to every visit.
As a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, I bring a rare combination of dual-board certification to this practice. That means when a child comes in presenting with anxiety, school refusal, and suspected ADHD, I can assess the full clinical picture — the psychiatric and the pediatric — rather than referring out for every piece of the puzzle.
My Clinical Background
My career spans both pediatric and psychiatric nursing, giving me a uniquely broad lens. I've worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families across a range of settings — including experience with trauma survivors, victims of crime, and patients in forensic-adjacent contexts. That background shapes how I approach care: with clinical rigor, deep empathy, and a calm presence that helps patients feel safe enough to be honest.
My clinical strengths include ADHD evaluation and treatment across the lifespan, anxiety and mood disorders, trauma and PTSD, perinatal mental health, and child and adolescent psychiatry. I'm particularly passionate about the pediatric population — an underserved group that too often waits months for specialized care that I can provide directly.
What to Expect
When you come to Monterey Bay Psychiatry, you won't feel rushed. Initial appointments are thorough — because getting the assessment right from the start matters. I take an integrative, whole-person approach: medication management is one tool among many, not the default answer to every situation. I believe in working with patients and families, not just prescribing at them.
I also keep waitlists short by design. Most new patients are seen within one to two weeks. That's not a coincidence — it's a deliberate commitment to timely access in a region where psychiatric care is in short supply.

"Mental health care should feel like care — not a transaction. My goal is for every patient to leave feeling genuinely heard, with a clear plan and a provider they can trust."
